November Fun

Lots of odds and ends pictures from a fun filled November.

The girls started watching a show called Mind Games and picked up lots of tricks from it. Here's a reflex stunt where Clara shows Mama how she can grab a $20 bill faster than Kate even when she starts much further away.

We killed time on a Saturday morning with a pick up game of soccer at Carroll Middle.

Star Student Hattie

Today we celebrated Hattie as star student in Ms. Poore's class. Kate and Paul came to class, read a book of Hattie's choosing, and then took her to lunch at Moe's.

Christmas Tree

We continued the tradition of getting a Christmas Tree the day after Thanksgiving. We headed up to North Hills and grabbed the tallest, widest tree that would fit in our living room.

And because we're keeping tabs, Hattie had the honor of putting the angel on top.

Tree Lighting at North Hills....and Sushi!

Christmas season is here! We did the tree lighting festivities at North Hills and discovered something new...Hattie loves sushi (rolls at least). We figured this out on a family date at Mura, where we were able to grab one of their special rooms where you sit on the floor and get treated like MVPs.

Musical Girls

Hattie continues with her enthusiasm for piano, excelling in her lessons and eager for daily practice ....

...and Clara has found a new interest in the recorder, in part because she likes to win the "belts" they give out as prizes in music class. We take videos each time she has mastered a new song and send it to Mr. Farmer to get the new belt.

ACC Soccer Tournament at WakeMed in Cary

As top seed, the Tar Heels got home field advantage for the ACC Tournament. Clara and Hattie got to take advantage of being player companions. 

UNC beat Virginia Tech and Clemson, but lost in the finals to FSU.
