Spirit Spring Soccer Season is On!

The Spirit would start spring soccer season in mid-season form! Above we have a good laugh with Caroline's daddy, Mason. Since he's so fond of yelling "Attack!" from the sidelines, the team got him his own t-shirt.

We managed to catch some great action shots of Clara this month. Here are a few.

We'll start with a controversial one against rivals, the Fusion. Clara kicks this beautiful corner. The keeper catches it, but (as you'll hear from the narrator) she was CLEARLY over the line. Unfortunately the ref did not have Paul's same vantage point.

Here's a nice score after a corner kick ball works its way back out. Clara put herself in position for the score:

This one is similar. Clara makes the throw-in, falls back into position and makes the score when the ball kicks back out to her:

Dragon Spring Soccer is On!

The Dragons roar again this Spring with Coach Spisak and Coach Kate at the helm. The girls have made huge strides since last season!

Here they fight for the ball, and Ellie gets oh-so-close to scoring!

And hear those dragons roar!

NC Courage Scrimmages University of South Carolina

We headed to Cary on a gusty Spring afternoon to watch the NC Courage scrimmage the USC women's soccer team on a WakeMed Stadium practice field.

It was our first time seeing Sam Leshnak, our friend from UNC Women's Soccer, in a Courage uniform after the team picked her up as an undrafted free agent.

Perseverance and Self Discipline

Happy Friday, All!

I hope you've had a great week!  Today in chapel, we taught about perseverance and self discipline.  Alanna served as our Director and as a writer.  Our other writers included:  Jonathan, Sawyer, Robert, Will, Reece, and Agam.   They wrote the script for a movie and helped the actors with notes on things that needed to be changed.  In chapel, our writers did the introduction and taught a little about self discipline and perseverance before the video started playing.

Hattie Loses 4th Tooth
