Hattie & Daddy in Raleigh

 

While Clara and Kate were in Nashville, Paul and Hattie held down the fort in Raleigh. 

US Youth Soccer Regional Tournament in Nashville

 

By winning the State Cup, Clara's NCFC Elite squad was invited to the US Soccer Regional Tournament in Nashville. Kate and Clara headed west for a week, playing lots of matches and sneaking in some shopping and social time with teammates. The ladies went deep, falling ultimately to the tournament champions.

This was also the last tournament before the team split up. Some girls were promoted to ECNL, some went down to Premier or Gold. But a good core remained to carry the momentum into next season. It was a good team with lots of wonderful ladies that always played hard for each other.

Clara at Duke Soccer Camp

 

After years of going to UNC summer soccer camps, this year we opted for arch rival Duke instead. Clara was able to go with some friends from her team and had a great time. It was good to see the soccer legend Carla Overbeck again (the last time being on our flight back from the Women's World Cup in France a few years ago).

Celebrating GDC

 

We sold GDC to the London Stock Exchange Group, closing the transaction at the end of May. To celebrate, Kate and Paul hosted a dinner at Cucciolo for the people that Paul has worked with at multiple places. We have Dan Nkemontoh from TransLoc and GDC; Courtney Walton, Jon King, and Sean Potter from Bandwidth and GDC; and Daniel Flowe from TransLoc, Bandwidth and GDC.

It was an incredible, life changing outcome for so many of us, and we're reminded of the incredible relationships we form with people along the way....relationships that span across multiple companies and projects.

Quick Trip to Wild Dunes

 

This summer won't allow much time at the beach, but we did sneak in a few days in mid-June and managed to have dinner at Obstinate Daughter, one of our favorite restaurants on Sullivan's Island.

Kate & Clara's Umstead Escape

 

Kate & Clara indulged with a night of the good life at Umstead, celebrating a successful end of 7th grade. 

Hattie is Off to Camp Willow Springs

 

Hattie's summer got into full swing quickly. Just a couple days out of school, and she's off for her second year at Camp Willow Spring. She'll be there for the next week.
